CAIRO, July 3 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs، Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed over phone with US President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, the latest developments on the ceasefire in Gaza, in light of the intensive communications currently being conducted by Egypt and Qatar.

Minister Abdelatty emphasized the urgent need to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid.

Both sides agreed to maintain ongoing communication and coordination, and to intensify efforts in the coming days to reach a ceasefire agreement.

Separately, Minister Abdelatty reviewed the results of Egypt’s extensive contacts with the parties concerned to stabilize the ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

He stressed the importance of resuming negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program and the commitment of both Israel and Iran to the ceasefire, in order to reduce tensions and developments and to create space for a diplomatic path.

The Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt's full support for all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the Middle East. (MENA)
