PORT SAID, Egypt, May 13 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has witnessed the signing ceremony of four contracts worth EGP34.5 billion with China’s Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Company.
The inking ceremony was held on the sidelines of the inauguration of Xinxing factory during the premier’s tour in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) in the presence of the ministers of transport and housing, Suez governor, head of the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone, representatives of the Chinese embassy in Cairo, and officials of Xinxing Co.
The four contracts were signed by the Chinese company with Arab Contractors Company, Madkour Company, Hassan Allam Trading and Engineering Company and Concord Engineering and Contracting Company.
The deals include the supply of ductile pipes for projects in the New Administrative Capital and Aswan, the Housing Ministry’s Ganna project and the ring road project in Saudi Arabia’s Mekka.
Madbouli lauded great efforts exerted by the SCZONE to contribute to guaranteeing the success of the Chinese company’s projects to help localize pipe industry and cut imports and increase the exports of these pipes. (MENA)
