BEIRUT, May 18 (MENA) – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said that Egypt remains a central partner in maintaining regional stability and has consistently supported Lebanon through multiple crises.

In a televised interview, Aoun thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for backing Lebanon’s army and institutions.

He described Egypt as a major regional power and a unifying force for Arab states.

He added that Lebanon looks forward to benefiting from Egypt’s experiment in economic recovery and reconstruction efforts, as well as renewing the Egyptian-Lebanese Higher Joint Committee to enhance bilateral cooperation. (MENA)
