AIN SHOKHNA, Egypt, May 13 (MENA) – The state pays much attention to develop Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) which is a key player for attracting foreign investments, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said.

The premier’s remarks came Tuesday during his field tours in the SCZONE’s Sokhna integrated area, where he was accompanied by the ministers of transport and housing, Suez governor and head of the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone and a host of respective officials.

Madbouli’s tour includes the opening of a Chinese factory and a Turkish company in the zone with more than $200 million investments.

He said the state is also keen to localize industry and technology to cut imports, increase exports, meet the needs of local markets and national projects and achieve the goals of sustainable development. (MENA)
