CAIRO, June 23 (MENA) - Egypt condemned the bombing that targeted Mar Elias Church in Damascus and resulted in a number of innocent casualties and injuries.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Monday, Egypt extended its sincere condolences to the brotherly Syrian people and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

Egypt reaffirmed its firm stance rejecting all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, the statement read.

Egypt also reiterated the importance of uniting regional and international efforts to eliminate terrorism, dry up its resources and confront the criminal acts that aim to destabilize security and stability, it added. (MENA)
