CAIRO, Jun 19 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the State aims to develop natural and economically viable areas in order to promote projects that generate both direct and indirect job opportunities.

The move is also meant to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, and ultimately create an economic breakthrough, added Madbouli.

The premier made the remarks during a meeting held Thursday to follow up on the progress rate of two development projects; the Rasheed Fishing Port and the Naba’ El Hamra site, also known as the Red Spring in Wadi El Natroun.

The meeting was attended by Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Beheira, and other senior officials.

As part of the meeting, Azar reviewed the progress of the Rasheed Fishing Port development project, which is part of a national initiative to revitalize the city of Rasheed.

She highlighted ongoing efforts to expedite development work at the port to maximize its benefits.

She added that the Rasheed Fishing Port venture is a service and development-oriented project that includes a fully integrated economic dimension. The project spans approximately 48,000 square meters.

She added that it aims to stimulate commercial, industrial, and environmental development and provide both direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Azar then presented the action plan for the Naba’ El-Hamra project, aimed at establishing an integrated tourist resort in Wadi El-Natroun.

She outlined the site’s location and its touristic and developmental potential.

The prime minister emphasized the importance of preparing a feasibility study for this project, which is planned to be implemented in partnership with the private sector. (MENA)
