CAIRO, June 10 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli reviewed progress on the trial operation of the Giza Pyramids Visitor Experience Development Project during a meeting on Tuesday.
The project aims to enhance services for tourists and provide a more enjoyable visitor experience at the archaeological site.
During the talks, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy stated that the trial phase is proceeding smoothly, including the execution of the terms agreed upon with the operating company.
Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed El Homsany stated that the plans presented at the meeting included a new high-standard visitor center, rest stations with seating and restrooms, shops, restaurants, and free internet access within the site.
He added that steps are also being taken to remove unregulated vehicle access and protect antiquities.
These include a designated parking area near the visitor center and the use of electric buses for transport inside the archaeological zone. (MENA)
