Meanwhile, Benin’s Foreign Minister Olushegun Adjadi Bakari praised the long-standing and robust relationship between Egypt and Benin, expressing strong commitment to elevating bilateral ties to new heights.

Speaking during the joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, he described Egypt as a “great power in Africa,” with whom Benin seeks strategic alignment to promote economic development and job creation and combat extremism.

Minister Bakari highlighted multiple promising areas for cooperation including, agriculture, pharmaceutical manufacturing, textiles, livestock development and export of Beninese products to Egypt, including cattle feed and agro-products.

Egypt’s extensive expertise in these fields positions it as an ideal partner in Benin’s development vision, he said. (MENA)
