CAIRO, May 29 (MENA) - Egypt and Morocco have agreed to establish a joint committee for coordination and follow-up, chaired by the prime ministers of both countries in order to enhance trade exchange and beef up joint investments.

The committee will include ministers from the economic group and senior relevant officials from both sides.

This comes on the sidelines of the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty to the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco and as part of a series of meetings he held with senior officials and businessmen in Morocco.

The committee is set to operate under the umbrella of the Higher Committee, chaired by the President of Egypt and the King of Morocco.

It will convene regularly and alternately between the two countries. Its first session is expected to take place before the end of this year and is anticipated to have a positive impact on boosting trade exchange, mutual investments, and enhancing commercial partnership at the regional level.
