CAIRO, May 26 (MENA) - Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Diab Allouh hailed Egypt's role in support of Palestinian people's rights at the official, grassroots, parliamentary and trade unions' levels.

Egypt is first defender and supporter of the Palestinian cause, said the Palestinian diplomat during a meeting with a group of Palestinian national figures representing various political, social, legal, media and NGOs from Gaza at the Palestinian embassy in Cairo on Monday.

In particular, Diab commended Egypt's unwavering position against any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their own land, a position stressed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on many occasions.

During the meeting, the Palestinian diplomat reviewed the latest developments under ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

He said the Palestinian leadership is maintaining its political, diplomatic and legal efforts with sisterly and friendly countries, as well as all international parties, to reach an immediate and sustainable ceasefire and ensure unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into the war-torn enclave. (MENA)
