CAIRO, May 19 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reviewed with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund Khaled Siddiq a number of work files on Monday.

Siddiq highlighted the different projects the fund is carrying out nationwide.

During the meeting, Siddiq provided an update on the Darah Provincial Capitals Development Project in 13 governorates, stressing significant achievements and the shedding light on the results of its marketing plan.

He also reviewed the “Fustat View” project, which aims to revitalize residential offerings in historic neighborhoods.

He noted that the project includes as many as 63,000 residential units in a move that demonstrates the project’s appeal and the ongoing efforts to attract investment and interest in urban redevelopment.

In addition, he informed Madbouli about initiatives to revitalize historical Cairo. He shared details about the renovated buildings and archaeological sites in the Old Cairo area, emphasizing the government’s dedication to preserving Egypt’s rich cultural heritage while enhancing urban living. This effort aligns with broader national strategies aimed at boosting tourism and fostering community engagement in historic locales, he said.

Discussions spotlighted the Egyptian government’s proactive approach to urban development.

As part of Egypt’s efforts to improve the urban landscape, the Darah Provincial Capitals Development Project and the “Fustat View” venture will enhance the quality of life for residents and preserve the country’s historical assets for future generations, according to Siddiq. (MENA)
