CAIRO, May 17 (MENA) - Egypt is following up with deep concern the latest developments in Libya, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates said in a statement on Saturday.
“Egypt calls on all parties in Libya to exercise self-restraint and prioritize the national interest and resort to reason and dialogue to safeguard the country's resources,” the ministry added.
It urged all Egyptian citizens in Libya to exercise the highest levels of caution and to remain indoors until the situation becomes clearer and stability is restored.
"Egyptians in Libya should keep in contact with the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli and the operations room for any inquiry," the ministry stated in the statement. (MENA)
