BAGHDAD, May 15 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held talks with his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti on the sidelines of the Arab Summit preparatory meeting.

During the meeting, Abdelatty praised the recent momentum in bilateral ties and called for stronger cooperation, especially in trade and investment.

He also reaffirmed Egypt’s interest in hosting the 18th session of the Joint Higher Committee in Cairo, chaired by the two prime ministers, to support joint projects and economic coordination.

Additionally, the two ministers discussed regional developments, including the situation in Gaza. Abdelatty reviewed Egypt’s efforts to resume the ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

They also exchanged views on the latest developments in Libya. (MENA)
