CAIRO, May 12 (MENA) - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib handed over on Monday six new golden licenses for a number of strategic investment projects.

This fell within the framework of the government's efforts to attract local and foreign investments.

The projects that were awarded the golden licenses included COFICAB Egypt, a leader in the automotive cables industry, Abydos for Renewable Energy and yeast manufacturer Lesaffre Egypt.

The projects also included Huhtamaki Egypt, a key leading player in sustainable food-on-the-go and food-on-the-the-shelf packaging solutions and ShengSen's project for iron products as well as YADA Egypt, a furniture manufacturer.

The golden licenses initiative aligns with the state's efforts to provide more facilitations for investors. (MENA)
