CAIRO, May 6 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty said Egypt’s exports to Montenegro amounted to $4.6 million in 2024.
The minister’s remarks came Tuesday during a meeting with Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimović in the New Administrative Capital.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Abdelatty voiced keenness to boost bilateral ties with Montenegro, underlining the need to increase trade exchange and support mutual investments.
Abdelatty also underscored the need to cement bilateral cooperation on tourism.
The minister reviewed the government’s efforts on turning Egypt into a regional and international energy hub.
He also shed light on Egypt’s stances on developments in the Middle East region, particularly the Palestinian cause, praising Montenegro’s balanced stance on this issue.
Both ministers discussed their countries’ efforts to combat terrorism and fight illegal migration, among others. (MENA)
