CAIRO, July 10 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly highlighted the current visit of Chinese Premier Li Qiang to Egypt, voicing hope that Chinese President Xi Jinping would visit Egypt within this year.
He noted that the premier's visit is meant to prepare for the Chinese president's visit, underlining the "strategic" relations between Egypt and China.
This came in response to a question by MENA about the importance of visit in light of the strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Madbouly revealed plans for signing numerous agreements and launching new projects during the visit.
He noted that Li Qiang expressed interest in inspecting Egypt's New Administrative Capital which is renowned globally.
The Chinese premier is also interested in inspecting the Chinese industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which is witnessing a major leap.
This important visit is expected to further cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, Madbouly asserted. (MENA)
