SEVILLE, Spain, June 30 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli emphasized the importance of cooperation between Egypt and Iraq in supporting efforts to achieve security and stability in the Middle East region.

He pointed out to the significant development in bilateral relations in light of the strong commitment of both countries’ leaderships to enhancing cooperation.

He also congratulated Iraq on the successful hosting of the recent Arab Summit.

The premier's remarks came during a meeting Monday with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on the sidelines of the Fourth United Nations Conference on Financing for Development, hosted by Seville, Spain, from June 30 to July 3.

The Iraqi president welcomed Egypt’s participation in the conference and conveyed his greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

He praised the deep and historical ties between the two nations.

He also referred to the consecutive incidents in the region, expressing his hope for stability and stressing the importance of close coordination between Egypt and Iraq to promote regional peace and security.

Rashid emphasized the need to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and to provide them with comprehensive humanitarian aid. (MENA)
