CAIRO, June 11 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty commended the deeply-rooted and amicable ties binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Abdelatty made the remarks during a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal ben Farhan Al Saud on the fringe of the Oslo Forum.
Abdelatty said he is looking forward to furthering cooperation and continued coordination with Saudi Arabia in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Saudi King Salman ben Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohamed ben Salman.
The two ministers exchanged views on various regional issues of mutual concern, topped by the latest developments in Gaza.
They reviewed the efforts exerted to restore the ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip.
They also discussed the ongoing preparations for the two-state solution conference, which will be held in New York later this June, amid the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
The two ministers also discussed the work of the Arab-Islamic ministerial committee and the upcoming steps to support the Palestinian people. (MENA)
