CAIRO, May 21 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met with Djiboutian Foreign Minister Mahamoud Ali Youssouf on the sidelines of the Africa-Europe ministerial meeting in Brussels.

During the talks, Abdelatty called for holding meetings of the Egypt-Djibouti Business Council to support trade growth in line with the strategic relationship between the two countries, according to a press release Wednesday.

He also followed up on the outcomes of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Djibouti on April 23, 2025, and discussed ongoing cooperation in energy security and the planned Egyptian logistics zone in Djibouti.

Both ministers reviewed regional issues and agreed to continue coordination within African Union frameworks to support stability and development in the Horn of Africa. (MENA)
